Door Security – FETAC Level 5

The aim of the Door Security training programme is to ensure that anyone who is providing guarding services is familiar with the licensing requirements and general standards needed to deliver a professional service to the public.

Theory Modules include:

• Overview of the legislation
• Courtroom experience including expert witness
• Communication
• Drug awareness
• Report writing

Practical Training Modules include

• Use of emergency equipment
• Emergency procedures
• Use of security equipment

Practical skills demonstrations include

• Searching an individual
• Conducting patron refusal of entry/removing a person
• Dealing with aggressive persons
• Team work
• Action on finding an injured person
