Chemical Awareness
Do staff in your organisation know enough about the chemicals they work with? If you or your staff are handling chemicals regularly you should understand their properties, how to minimise hazards and risks, and be able to assess safety aspects during a chemical incident.
The Swilly Group’s one day training course on Chemical Awareness covers the following topics:
- Injuries and illnesses from chemical handling
- Legislation overview
- Manufacture responsibilities
- Employer responsibilities
- Employee responsibilities
- Personal protective equipment (PPE)
- First Aid
- Fire awareness
- Code of practice on Chemical Agents
The participants answer a short 20-question exam at the end of the course. All participants receive a Chemical Awareness Certificate of participation.
We are a FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council) approved training provider and we offer accredited training programmes that enable you to achieve FETAC awards on the National Framework
