Emergency First Aid

The Emergency First Aid training course is a one-day training course designed to concentrate on situations most likely to occur in the workplace.  It is suited to persons who do not require formal certified training and to companies who have trained some Occupational First Aiders but who like to have other members of staff trained in emergency skills.

The emphasis is on dealing with life-threatening situations in the absence of an Occupational First-Aider and on keeping the casualty alive until the emergency services arrive.

Learners who successfully complete this training course will be able to:

• Assess the extent of an injury
• Scene management
• Provide emergency first aid
• Deal with commonplace work injuries
• Bleeding/wounds
• Casualty assessment
• Heart conditions
• Burns
• Choking
• Fractures
• Adult CPR
• Bandaging

All participants who successfully complete the course receive a certificate of attendance.
