Manual Handling

The Swilly Group provides Manual Handling training in a variety of sectors including Construction, Transport, Retail, Healthcare, Hospitality, Entertainment, Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing. We tailor our training to the particular sector and client, but generally  it covers the following topics:

• Legislation
• Duties of employees and employers
• Injury to the spine
• Ergonomics
• Principles of safer moving and handling
• Hazards in the workplace
• Protective clothing
• Practical exercise

This training can be provided at one of our training centres or else on-site at the client’s premises.  A certificate is provided to all participants who complete the training course.

We are a FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council) approved training provider and we offer accredited training programmes that enable you to achieve FETAC awards on the National Framework.
