Operator CPC

A Certificate of Professional competence (CPC) is required by all those who are nominated as a Transport Manager in an application for a Road Haulage (Lorries) or Passenger Transport (Buses) Operator’s Licence.

Also known as the Transport Manager CPC, the Operator CPC covers areas such as setting up a transport business, financial management and vehicle maintenance. Operator CPC is separate from Driver CPC and you will require both if you are a Transport Manager and a Professional Driver.

In order to gain a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Transport Management, a candidate must attend an approved and certified course and successfully pass the prescribed exam. These exams are scheduled three times a year (January, June and September) by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Ireland.
