Operator CPC

A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Transport Management is required by all those who are nominated as a Transport Manager in an application for a Road Haulage (Lorries) or Passenger Transport (Buses) Operator’s Licence.

Also known as the Transport Managers’ CPC, the Operator CPC course covers the subject areas necessary for setting-up, operating and maintaining a transport business on an effective and continuous basis. The CPC course includes subjects such as accounting, finance, marketing, health and safety, social legislation, tachograph legislation and regulations relating to vehicle dimensions.

In order to obtain a CPC in Transport Management a candidate must attend a minimum of 110 hrs of training with a CILT approved training provider and successfully pass the CPC exams. The CPC exams take place three times a year (January, June and September) and are managed by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) of Ireland.
